TNA Star Joe Hendry Makes History, Becomes First Non-WWE Talent To Win WWE NXT “Moment Of The Year” Award For His Debut In The Company

TNA Star Joe Hendry has been making history all year. And now – on New Years Eve – he does it again, one more time.

Moments ago on NXT, it was revealed on their television show that TNA Star Joe Hendry’s debut on their programming earlier this year won “Moment of the Year.” Joe is the first TNA-contracted talent to win an NXT award.

Joe debuted in WWE NXT on the June 18, 2024 episode as part of a 25-man Battle Royal to determine the #1 Contender to the NXT Title.
Joe was immediately eliminated by fellow TNA star Frankie Kazarian.

One of the highlights of Joe Hendry’s NXT run was a World Title match against Trick Williams on the NXT No Mercy PLE in September.

Joe Hendry also won TNA awards for Moment of the Year and Male Wrestler of the Year, respectively.

Joe Hendry is set to kick off the first episode of TNA iMPACT in 2025 this Thursday, and is also slated to take on current TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth for the title at the TNA Genesis PPV on January 19th. Get your tickets for that here.
