Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship
Paige VanZant is a former UFC fighter who then turned to Bare-Knuckle Boxing following her MMA career. Not only that, but she’s fought in regular Boxing matches under the Misfits Boxing banner and most recently competed in PowerSlap, ran by UFC President Dana White.
But, despite last competing in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) four years ago, could we see Paige come back at least one more time? Recently, BKFC President David Feldman spoke with MMAFighting about the prospect of Paige fighting for the company again, to which he revealed a recent conversation they had that leads us to believe at least one more fight is coming.
[Paige] was actually at that fight at Hard Rock last week and we talked, I said, ‘What’s up, are we going to do this or what?’ She said, ‘I’ve got one more fight on my contract, let’s go.’ I know she’s talking about some other fight, possibly first, so that could be what she’s talking about, but absolutely Paige is in the early 2025 plans without a doubt. She’s game for it, we’re game for it.
Feldman went on to say that despite not having the best record with the company, VanZant helped get eyes on BKFC, to which he called her a ‘needle-mover’.
Look, I never forget what people did for us, although we paid her 10 times what she got paid in the UFC, she moved the needle for us. She was a big-time needle mover for us. Because people are like, ‘Paige VanZant’s fighting bare-knuckle? That’s crazy, right?’ I’ll never forget that. Certainly, she’s coming back at least for one more fight, 100 percent in early 2025.
Recently, Paige VanZant revealed that she did sign with new MMA promotion GFL, which will be debuting in 2025. Paige said on her podcast A Kickass Love Story that she was a free agent and they offered her a contract, to which she accepted. Paige has not fought in MMA in five years since leaving UFC.
