Triple H Reveals Netflix Flexibility, Confirms Commentary Change
RAW on Netflix.
WWE RAW Run Time
WWE RAW is set to premier on Netflix this Monday, January 6. Despite a lot being announced for the show, one thing that’s been unclear is the run time. On USA Network for the past few months, RAW has been two hours, after previously being three. This past Friday, SmackDown officially changed from two hours to three, since RAW is off the USA Network.
But, how about RAW on Netflix? While we still don’t have an official time, whether the show will remain two hours or go back to three, Triple H recently sat down with SI Media Podcast where he revealed that the RAW time will be flexible on Netflix.
It’ll be flexible in that I don’t think necessarily the time constraints of network television or cable television apply. I think much like many shows, they have the ability to do whatever the show needs to have done. So if this episode needs to be an hour, great, it’s an hour, this next episode needs to be 42 minutes, it’s 42 minutes. It’s what makes for the best product. Now, I’m not saying that we’re going to be 42 minutes, but clearly we’ll deliver the product in a way that is best for Netflix and for their business model and what is best for our storytelling.
On the same show, Triple H also officially announced a commentary change, as Joe Tessitore will be the commentator for SmackDown, instead of RAW, which will now be Michael Cole.
RAW kicks off on Netflix this Monday at 8PM ET.
