Kenny Omega’s AEW return capped off the night on AEW Dynamite. Outside of some appearances here and there, Kenny has been gone from AEW for a year due to health concerns regarding diverticulitis. Now, he’s back.
Kenny Returned this past weekend at NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom where he defeated Gabe Kidd, but his AEW return is now. Kenny started by explaining the health issues he went through and admitted that he may never be the same as he was before. But, the new Kenny is not fueled by money, power or revenge, he’s just here to be the best wrestler he can be and be there for the fans. Kenny was then interrupted by Don Callis.
Before Callis could even make it to the ring, Kenny charged the ramp and attacked Don. He got a few shots in on him before Brian Cage and Lance Arch ran out to help Don. They took Kenny to the ring and beat him down, with Kyle Fletcher then joining in. Will Ospreay then made the save with a chair and sent the Don Callis Family packing.
Kenny and Will had a staredown before commentary announced that Kenny Omega will return to in-ring action next week against Brian Cage.
