The Gauntlet has its first entry.
The men’s AEW Casino Gauntlet took place tonight, but the women’s Casino Gauntlet is next week, with the winner getting a AEW Women’s World Title Shot at AEW GrandSlam in Australia on February 15. Tonight, Toni Storm, Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale all battled to earn the #1 spot in the gauntlet.
All three women started off fast with some roll-up pins being traded back and forth, but a winner couldn’t be decided off of them. As the match went on, each woman had their time in control and even were close to winning throughout the match.
In the end, it was Wednesday Night Fever that sealed the deal and allowed Kris Statlander to pick up the win, pinning Toni Storm. Kris will now enter first in next weeks gauntlet.
