Who let the dogs out?!
Mackenzie Dern is set to headline UFC Vegas 101 this Saturday at the UFC Apex in what is UFC’s first event in 2025. She will take on Amanda Ribas in a rematch from five years ago. But, this fight week, it was Mack who stole the show.
Mackenzie Dern took her gigantic dog Mack to her fight week media obligations Wednesday afternoon and the big boy got all the love. Mackenzie was of coursed asked about her idea to bring her dog to media day, and this is what she said.
Yeah, he’s like security and emotion support. He helps me a lot just being comfortable. I’m trying to kind of stay as calm as I can and k think what I’m most needing in my fights is composure and to kind of just go into the Apex one more time and feel like it’s a training session. He goes to the gym with me and everything like that, he’s going to be here on Friday, so, it’s just the best way to keep me relaxed and not getting all my nerves up too high.
When asked if he will be at the Apex for her fight this Saturday, she said “maybe”. We can only hope!
