PFL Officially Takes Over As Bellator Brand Is No More
Goodbye, Bellator.
PFL Absorbs Bellator
PFL has had Bellator for well over a year now, but they’ve still been running events with the Bellator branded name, Bellator titles and Bellator fighters. But, that is coming to an end. News broke this week that PFL would be lowering their prize money from one million dollars to $500,000 for tournament winners. But, also, the tournament with a point system will be no more and it’ll be more of a Gran Prix single-elimination style.
Then, it was revealed by Ariel Helwani that Bellator is dead, and PFL will start to have its own champions. Not just season/tournament champions, full time champions. Now, PFL founder Don Davis has confirmed today that Bellator is no more and PFL will be one brand, one roster.
This has caused quite the stir with the Bellator crowd. Stay tuned for more!
