Claudio Castagnoli Will Not Talk Trash About His WWE Run

Claudio Castagnoli is taking the high road.

For many stars who leave the WWE for AEW, they have taken the opportunity to discuss their exits and bad experiences. However, Claudio Castagnoli will not be one of those talents.

Speaking to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Claudio said he was grateful for his work during his tenure at WWE. He mentioned that he needed to take a mental break before jumping into a new promotion after his departure.

All the memories, they matter. I’m grateful for everything I have accomplished and I’m grateful for all those opportunities. And they make me work so much harder to get where I want to be. Once I left, I knew what I wanted and where I wanted to go, I just didn’t know if it would happen. That was also time for me to take a break mentally, recharge, and come back better. My goal is always to be better than I was yesterday, to be better tomorrow than I am today. I want to be even better now than people remember.

Claudio is set to square off with Jake Hager on the first week of Fyter Fest. Time will tell how the rest of his run in AEW will transpire, but for now he is currently a member of the Blackpool Combat Club.
