Daddy ass has a lot of work on his plate given his duel contract.
Billy Gunn has been a part of AEW since practically the beginning. He has taken to managing his two sons as a tag team in the promotion and briefly was aligned with The Acclaimed. Now, The Gunn Club are back on their own as a trio.
While speaking during a “K & S WrestleFest” virtual signing, Gunn revealed that he is under two separate contracts in AEW. This is because backstage personnel are “employees” of the company.
“Yeah, they have to do two contracts because they can’t loop them all together. You can’t loop the employee and talent because it’s, you know, a self-employed kind of deal. So, in reality, yeah, you’d like to just have one contract that says you do different things, but for some reason, you can’t do it that way for business bookkeeping or whatever.”

Time will tell how much longer Gunn will be signed under both contracts. At 58 years old, his time in the ring may be running out sooner than thought. However, working tag matches and being more of a manager for his sons is a good way to measure the remainder of Billy Gunn’s in ring career.
