PFL Set to Introduce New European League in 2023
The PFL has announced they will be launching a new European league that is set to open in 2023.
The promotion officially made the announcement via a press release on Thursday, revealing they will debut PFL Europe next year, a “new international league.”
The company plans on holding the events for the league in European countries, that feature emerging European fighters. They also will have qualifying fights for the expansion league at their upcoming events next month in Cardiff, Wales, and London, England. PFL CEO Peter Murray gave the following statement about the promotion’s European expansion.
“I am pleased to announce the PFL will launch PFL Europe in 2023 to further advance the sport of MMA and fuel PFL’s next phase of global expansion starting in Europe, the number one international MMA growth region,“ Murray said. “Europe is rich with top fighters who are ready to compete in the PFL’s season format on a major stage and passionate MMA fans throughout the region will now have access to premium events staged in Europe.”
