It seems if Banks is truly gone from the WWE, she will have to return to being Mercedes.
Sasha Banks’ status in the WWE is currently up in the air, with reports suggesting she has been released by the company. However, there has been no official confirmation by the WWE or Banks herself. Although, Banks has began taking non wrestling bookings since the news broke.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson’s Q and A on Friday addressed whether or not Banks could use the Sasha Banks moniker outside the WWE.
Unless she has negotiated the use outside of WWE somehow, there’s zero chance she’ll be able to officially use the name outside of WWE. No way WWE legal will allow that.
