Eric Young On AEW And IMPACT Wrestling Partnership Not Working

AEW x IMPACT Wrestling is no more.

We’ve seen IMPACT and AEW collaborate in the past, namely when Kenny Omega defeated Rich Swann to become IMPACT World Champion before losing it to Christian Cage. The title eventually made its way back to IMPACT and the partnership ended. Throughout the course of this, The Good Brothers were on AEW TV, Private Party we’re on IMPACT TV, along with some other minimal spots. But, much more could’ve happened. Recently, Eric Young sat down with The Angle Podcast to talk about the AEW and IMPACT partnership.

Rich Swann, who was our world champion, wrestled Kenny Omega as their world champion and that’s never really happened before. I don’t think it worked out as good as anyone would’ve hoped it would’ve. I feel like there was a lot of missed opportunities that could’ve gone back and forth both ways.

It’s hard to disagree with Eric here. Many fans thought both parties could’ve done a lot better with the partnership as well.
