Sean O’Malley vs. Petr Yan Being Finalized for UFC 280

It looks like we won’t be seeing a rebooking for Pedro Munhoz anytime soon.

Sean O’Malley announced in an interview with Ryan Clark that the UFC is finalizing a deal to book him vs. former UFC Bantamweight champion Petr Yan at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi.

O’Malley recently had a no decision vs. Munhoz after he accidently poked them in the eye, many felt the fight should have been rebooked and after a Twitter callout to former Bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo, O’Malley has decided to go after Yan who recently lost a close fight by decision for the Bantamweight championship vs. Aljamain Sterling.

The main event was announced over the weekend with Charles Oliveira vs. Islam Mahkchaev for the vacant Lightweight championship.

A Bantamweight championship fight between Sterling vs. TJ Dillashaw is also reported to go down at UFC 280 in the co-main event slot.

The UFC is making sure October 22nd in Abu Dhabi at Etihad Arena is a show to remember for fight fans.
