Goldberg recalls protecting Chris Jericho when he speared him through a pod at SummerSlam 2003.
Goldberg and Jericho would have multiple matches together in WWE, including an Elimination Chamber bout at WWE SummerSlam 2003 where Goldberg speared Jericho through the chamber pod. Goldberg would comment on the spot while talking on Talk is Jericho with Chris.
“Remember Elimination Chamber, when I put you through the glass. If I didn’t care about you as a human being, I never would have picked the glass up off of you after. Those little things that people don’t see. They don’t get it. I could have hurt every single person I got in the ring with, and vice versa, everybody could have hurt me, at the end of the day, you try to be as professional as humanly possible and work for the betterment of the business,”

Goldberg has garnered a reputation for hurting or risking opponents wellbeing in matches, stemming back to him causing a serious injury to Bret Hart with a botched superkick.
