CM Punk Says “He’s Trying To Tell Stories” With Regard To Hangman Page Callout
As AEW Dynamite kicked off, CM Punk called out Hangman Adam Page and when he did not show, Punk buried him on the mic, calling him a coward.
Now, Punk has addressed the call out with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Punk addressed the reports that he went off-script.
“That’s what I’m here to do, make people want to see what happens next. I’m trying to sell tickets to the live events. That goes back to me saying Twitter isn’t [the] real world. Twitter is a bunch of people that don’t really care about your opinion. They want to find like-minded opinions that share their worldview. I’m trying to tell stories, sell tickets, and get people to tune in on Dynamite.”
CM Punk to Sports Illustrated
Punk is set to unify the full AEW World Title with Jon Moxley’s interim title on this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite. Hangman could be next for Punk if he should walk out of the match with the AEW World Title.
