New PROGRESS World Champion Crowned At PROGRESS Warriors Come Out To Play
A brand new PROGRESS World Champion has been crowned at PROGRESS Chapter 140 Warriors Come Out To Play as Spike Trivet would shock the crowd entering the himself into the main event and winning the PROGRESS World title.
Spike Trivet would interject himself into the main event championship match between PROGRESS World Champion Big Damo and Challenger Dan Maloney. Dan Maloney looked to have the match won but Spike Trivet attacks him with chair causing a DQ, Trivet would then destroy Damo with a chair.
Spike would then take advantage of the chaos to win the match, cashing in his Key to future he won at Chapter 136: 24/7 when he won the Thunderbastard match, pinning Big Damo becoming the new PROGRESS World Champion in the progress.
Big Damo was making his first defence of the PROGRESS world title after he defeated Chris Ridgeway at PROGRESS Chapter 137 Deadly Viper Tour: Codename Copperhead.
Eddie Dennis looks set to be the first challenger for the Championship after he called for a match with whoever the champion would be at Chapter 141: Wrestling, Golf, Madrid In That Order in Cardiff Wales next weekend, Sunday the 4th of August after he defeated Maggot earlier in the show.
Dennis is a former PROGRESS World Champion who was never defeated for the world title, he was forced to vacate the world title due to injury.
