Mick Foley Would Have Loved To Do Post-Show Press Conferences

During Labor Day weekend, WWE and AEW held post-show press conferences with wildly different results.

WWE were able to produce a post show that felt genuine, despite it being a worked version of a press conference. On the flip side, AEW were not able to keep the train on the rails as CM Punk went on a scathing rant that would later lead to a brawl backstage at the PPV.

Speaking to Steve Fall of NBC Sports, Mick Foley was asked about doing press conferences while he was still active.

“I would have loved to have the opportunity to address the media after the matches. I think it’s something that had been missing. Of course, the latest one in AEW turned out a little unusual in a way that might not be good for business, but I like the idea of Roman Reigns talking to the press after a big victory. I think it gives that added touch to what we do,”

Foley of course was part of many legendary moments where it would have been an interesting moment for fans to see Foley give his still fresh thoughts on said moments.
