Court Grants More Time For Pre-Trial Plea Agreement Negotiations For Jeff Hardy DUI Case
It looks like Jeff Hardy may be attempting to secure a plea agreement for his third DUI charge.
Jeff Hardy was arrested at the end of June for driving under the influence and has since been suspended by AEW until he completes treatment for his substance abuse issues. Legally, his court dates have been pushed back quite a bit since the initial event. Now, it looks like Hardy is seeking a plea agreement.
PWInsider.com provided an update on Hardy’s legal case earlier today.
Yesterday, his attorney filed a motion asking for the hearing to be pushed back, which prosecutors agreed to.
In the mottion, it was noted that Hardy’s attorneys “recently provided extensive mitigation materials to the counsel for the State” and that “The parties require additional time to negotiate a potential pretrial resolution”, so it would appear that the two sides are working on a plea agreement that would prevent a trial.
The court signed off on the motion yesterday, pushing Hardy’s pre-trial hearing back to 11/17.

Hardy has previously plead not guilty in this case.
