It looks like The Elite may be coming back to work soon.
The Elite’s AEW return has been hinted at repeatedly as the talents have been referenced on AEW TV recently, which was a new development. Now, it looks like those hints may hold more weight.
Fightful Select provided a fresh update on the situation, with one source suggesting the return could be “imminent”.
We’ve learned that for the first time since AEW All Out, there is talk backstage of Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks coming back to work, at the very least in a backstage capacity. One source said they heard it could happen “imminently,” but nobody we heard from could definitively tell us when it’s expected. Fightful Select has learned that over the last couple of weeks, the most movement out of the situation has happened since the incident took place. We were told that a meeting was scheduled for last week, but we’re in the dark on the context of those. There hasn’t been an indication on when they could return to AEW TV.

Since being suspended by the promotion, the faction have been pulled from all appearances and responsibilities. Time will tell what this will mean for the investigation.
