IMPACT Wrestling announced earlier today that they have signed former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Rich Swann to a long-term deal with the company.
The length and specific details of Swann’s deal with IMPACT were not disclosed.
Swann was released from the WWE after being caught up in charges of domestic violence, including kidnapping and false imprisonment. Swann was eventually cleared of all charges, but regardless was still released from WWE. Swann took some time off from wrestling following the incident, even going as far as announcing his retirement. He eventually worked through the issues he was dealing with and made the decision to return to the ring after a short hiatus.
Swann recently showed up in IMPACT Wrestling and had been working on a per appearance deal with the company until today’s announcement that he had signed a long-term deal with IMPACT.
