Jake Roberts Compares MJF’s World Title Reign To A Hypothetical Reign For Roddy Piper

Jake Roberts believes we are witnessing what a Roddy Piper world championship reign would look like with MJF now holding the AEW World Title.

While speaking on The Snake Pit, WWE Hall Of Famer Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts was asked whether he believes MJF as World Champion is displaying what Roddy Piper himself would have been like, had he been a World Champion.

”Yeah, it [MJF’s run as World Champion] definitely could. Roddy was another one of those guys who didn’t need a belt. But had Vince seen the light and worked with Piper, I think it would have been just unbelievable because Piper was such a strong character.”

MJF took out William Regal on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. We will have to wait and see how he will be booked as the champion in the coming weeks.
