Renee Paquette Feels Jon Moxley Doesn’t Need Her In AEW Storylines

Renee Paquette recently signed with All Elite Wrestling, joining her husband Jon Moxley in the promotion.

Paquette stated on the Sports Media podcast that she does not believe Moxley needs to be aligned with her to tell great stories. She stated unequivocally that they never had that conversation. Renee indicated that they never discussed it, nor has she discussed it with Tony Khan.

We’ve definitely not had that conversation. Jon and I haven’t spoken about it. Tony [Khan] and I haven’t spoken about it. But, I’m sure Jon would agree with this, his character is so lone wolf, does his own thing, walks to the beat of his own drum. I think me adding a layer to that is not something that he needs.

I just don’t really see that being a thing that he needs, especially with the style that Jon wrestles. There’s not really a lot of room for me to go out there. And what am I gonna add to that?

Jon’s such a great performer with everything that he does. Adding me in there just muddies that storyline, I think.

Their stories continue in AEW, but odds are Renee Paquette’s role will stay in the broadcast team. Moxley is currently involved in a program with Hangman Adam Page, who returned on last week’s edition of AEW Dynamite.
