Twitter is an awful, awful place.
We’ve seen wrestlers constantly have issues with “fans” on twitter “. From harassment and bullying to just making up false rumors. Sadly, Mia Yim was the victim of this today after she posted a photo hugging her friend, Austin Theory, and fans immediately jumped to conclusions that they were in a relationship, speculating that Mia Yim cheated on her real life husband and AEW star, Keith Lee. Obviously, this is not the case and Mia followed up with a tweet saying “I love my husband and only have eyes for him.” She continued on to say “men and women can be friends without it being sexual.” And she is absolutely right. Following the tweet, she then deleted her entire twitter account. You can see the now deleted tweets below.
If you are one of the people harassing wrestlers and jumping to conclusions on social media, stop. Also, leave Mia Yim alone and let men and women be friends.
