The Good Brothers Were Not Required At The Royal Rumble Due To Their New Deals
The 2023 Royal Rumble event went down without the Good Brothers there. A lot of fans wondered why they were absent, and what could have played into that call.
During a recent report, Sean Sapp of Fightful stated that the Good Brothers have a unique clause in their new WWE deals. Unless they’re booked to work an event, they don’t have to show up.
“People were asking why The Good Brothers were not at the Rumble or at Raw. In their new deals, they said, ‘if you’re not going to use us, we don’t want to be there. Just don’t send us there. [With] all due respect we will do our jobs, but we don’t want to be there for not being used,’ and WWE said ‘okay.’”

Only time will tell if WWE can figure out something for Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows to do in the meantime, but they certainly weren’t needed in the Alamodome on January 28th.
