The Rock Says He Will Forever Be Grateful To Jerry Jarrett

The professional wrestling community is mourning the loss of Jerry Jarrett, who has passed away at the age of 80. As the father of Jeff Jarrett and a key figure in many significant moments in the sport, Jerry Jarrett leaves behind a lasting legacy.

Jerry Jarrett was a prominent wrestling promoter who made his mark primarily in the Memphis-Tennessee region. He is best known as the founder of the Continental Wrestling Association, and he also co-founded NWA: TNA alongside his son, the legendary wrestler Jeff Jarrett. However, it is worth noting that Jerry Jarrett’s contributions to the world extend far beyond the sport of professional wrestling.

The Rock took to his Instagram and talked about the Jarrett family in a video, where The Great One explained why he will forever be grateful to Jerry Jarrett for giving him and his father a job.

You were good to my dad when he was having a hard time catching a break. I’ll never forget it. You were also good to me when I had $7 bucks in my pocket. I’ll never forget it. Thank you for taking care of my family. Stay strong Jeff. I understand the pain brother. “Son’s of wrestlers” What a life. What an impact he had. What a business he loved.”

The Rock

As a wrestling promoter, Jerry Jarrett spent much of his time behind the scenes. While he was not often visible to fans, he played a vital role in supporting and managing many legendary and successful wrestlers throughout his career. His contributions will always be remembered and that is all that matters.
