Vince McMahon’s unparalleled dedication to the professional wrestling industry is widely recognized. As a well-known perfectionist, he always strives for excellence in his work, and his fearlessness is demonstrated by his willingness to put his own body on the line when necessary. This unwavering commitment to the sport has solidified his reputation as a true icon in the industry.
During an episode of his podcast, “Something to Wrestle With,” Bruce Prichard, a long-time member of the WWE creative team, discussed the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (G.L.O.W.). The all-female wrestling promotion ran from 1986 to 1990 and showcased a mix of actresses, models, and aspiring wrestlers.
According to Prichard, during the Something to Wrestle With podcast in 2019, he shared a story about one of the G.L.O.W. girls who had a sugar daddy in real life. The man arranged a meeting with Vince McMahon and offered to pay for his girlfriend to become the WWE Women’s Champion.
“There was a G.L.O.W. girl that had a sugar daddy who got a meeting with Vince McMahon, and this guy was wanting to pay for his girlfriend, this former G.L.O.W. girl, to be the WWF [WWE] Champion, and he wanted to pay us to have her work with whoever the champion was at the time.
He’s like, ‘That’s not how we do business.’ He [the sugar daddy] says, ‘There’s a first time for everything. This is an opportunity for you. She’s gonna be one of the most widely known names, and she’ll be one of the biggest stars you ever had.’ And Vince listens, thanked him very much, wrapped the meeting up rather quickly, and they left.

Prichard expressed surprise that the sugar daddy was able to bypass Vince McMahon’s personal assistants to secure a meeting with the WWE Executive Chairman. He also described the man as being physically imposing, bald, and often seen smoking cigars.
