WWE Is “Really, Really High” On NXT Name
Despite only having competed in her first match in June 2022, Sol Ruca, whose real name is Calyx Hampton, has already made a significant impact on both fans and WWE officials. As a member of the March 2022 group of Performance Center recruits, Ruca brings with her a wealth of experience in acrobatics and tumbling, which has undoubtedly contributed to her rapid rise within the WWE.
Following her debut on house shows and NXT Level Up a few months after joining WWE, Sol Ruca has quickly emerged as a prominent figure on NXT TV. While her impressive athleticism was evident to viewers of Level Up, it wasn’t until December that she truly captured the attention of fans and critics alike.
Sol Ruca’s growing prominence on NXT TV is not surprising given the attention she has received from high-ranking WWE officials. Even Triple H, head of creative at WWE, tweeted about her viral clip, expressing his enthusiasm for her future. In addition, Dave Meltzer has reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE is “very, very high” on Ruca, further confirming her status as a potential star in the making.
Sol Rusa recently picked up a television win over Alba Fyre, and she has a match on tonight’s February 28th episode of NXT against Elektra Lopez. We’ll have to wait and see what the future holds for Sol Ruca.
