Goldberg Says WWE Owe Him A Retirement Match
Following a 12-year hiatus from the ring, Goldberg made a triumphant return to WWE at Survivor Series 2016, where he squared off against Brock Lesnar. However, this was not the first time the powerhouse had made a spectacular entrance, as he had previously demolished The Rock in his debut match in 2003. Despite going on to clinch the World Heavyweight Title, Goldberg’s reign left little impact in the annals of wrestling history.
Goldberg had developed a reputation for being a very careless worker, both in WCW and WWE. Many people blame Goldberg for ending Bret Hart’s career, which includes Bret Hart himself.
While speaking with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Goldberg talked about his future in professional wrestling. The WWE Hall Of Famer made it clear WWE owes him a retirement match.
You never say never, especially in wrestling, and they owe me one,” says Goldberg. “That’s all I can say. I made a deal with the devil and I did my job, and they owe me a retirement match. At the end of the day, at 56, it’s not something where I’m sitting by the phone waiting for a call. I’ve got a few ideas of how to do it on my own, possibly in Israel. So never say never,.

We will have to wait and see whether will make his WWE return this year.
