Christopher Daniels And MJF Dynamite Segment Was Put Together At The Last Minute
AEW is building toward Revolution on March 5th, and Bryan Danielson is set to be in the main event. Through that build, they have revisited Danielson’s past a bit, and that brought Christopher Daniels out for a segment. That was not the original plan at all.
Christopher Daniels recently spoke to PW Mania where he revealed that AEW actually had to “scramble” for a replacement on AEW Dynamite when a segment fell through. He noted that they had him fill-in at the last minute, but he did not reveal who had to pull out of the segment.
“It was a bit of a surprise. That wasn’t the original plan,” Daniels revealed. “There was an idea to do something with someone else from Bryan’s past. At the 11th hour, it all fell through, and we were in Laredo and scrambled for a backup plan. I remember speaking with MJF and Jerry Lynn, and I told them I’ve known Bryan since 2001, so I could help out.
Once I threw that suggestion out, we kicked the idea around. Max and I took an opportunity to go back and forth about what my relationship with Bryan was, and how we would steer this particular segment. I was really happy. I’m always happy to contribute to the on-screen product.”

We’ll have to see if Bryan Danielson is able to topple MJF at Revolution on March 5th. Odds are, this will be quite a match to watch as those two go for an entire hour.
