Ex WWE Referee Doesn’t Believe WWE Has Produced a Bigger Match Then The Rock vs Hulk Hogan
The Rock and Hulk Hogan threw down at WrestleMania 18 in an Icon vs Icon match for the ages. That match saw Hogan turn babyface, thanks to the passionate WWE Universe. This was also a moment in history that will be very hard to top.
During a recent edition of his mailbag podcast, former WWE referee Mike Chioda remembered that amazing confrontation between The Rock and Hulk Hogan. After all, he was fortunate enough to officiate that contest.
“Did I know it was gonna be so legendary back then? Hell no, I didn’t know. I didn’t know a few years later. We thought something was gonna at some point top that, and I don’t think at some point since 2002, since Rock and Hogan, has really topped that.”

The Rock was once thought to be a lock for WrestleMania, but he backed out of a match against Roman Reigns. The Jumanji star said that he wouldn’t be able to get in shape for a match by that time.
Only time will tell if The Rock vs Roman Reigns ever happens, and which stage it will be on. They will be hard-pressed to replicate the same electricity that the Great One generated with Hulk Hogan.
