Roman Reigns, who is already the longest-reigning world champion in modern history and has already main-evented WrestleMania six times, is set to defend his title in the main event against Cody Rhodes.
When he finally competes in the match, Reigns will set a record that may prove incredibly challenging to match or surpass in the future. He will be the first WWE Superstar to defend a world title at three consecutive WrestleManias during the same reign. The stats were reported by a user named nWo1997 on the Sub-Reddit r/SquaredCircle.
Reigns won the Universal Title at Payback 2020, and he successfully defended it against Edge and Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 37 in 2021. He defended the title once again at WrestleMania 38 against Brock Lesnar. This year, as part of his Undisputed WWE Universal Title reign, Reigns will defend his championship once more against Cody Rhodes.
