Ric Flair Doesn’t Understand Why Some Fans Don’t Want Charlotte In A WrestleMania Main Event

Charlotte Flair took a break of over seven months and returned during the December 30th episode of Friday Night Smackdown, where she beat Ronda Rousey for the Smackdown Women’s Champion.

Since Charlotte Flair’s return to the WWE, she has maintained her position at the forefront of the women’s division, despite major changes behind the scenes during her absence.

She is also likely to main event the first night of WrestleMania 39. While speaking on his To Be The Man podcast, Ric Flair referred to Charlotte as “the best wrestler in the business today” and questioned why anyone would question her right to be in the main event, regardless of time off or other factors.

“If someone is off for a legitimate reason and they’re the best wrestler in the business, why aren’t they in the main event? “In the business, men or women. That’s what they do, they’re in the main event.

Steve Austin came back for a year, came back and did he start at the bottom of the card? He ain’t wrestled in 20 years and they wanted him to main-event WrestleMania this year. “What the hell? That’s the most stupid thing in the world. Why wouldn’t the best performer in the company, regardless of time off or time on, not be in the main event? Give me a break.”

Charlotte Flair is set to defend the SmackDown Women’s Title against Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 39. That match will see the two women collide once again to continue their story. Only time will tell how long The Queen’s reign is this time around.
