Brock Lesnar Injured Seth Rollins During WrestleMania 35 Match
During their match at WrestleMania 35 in 2019, Brock Lesnar accidentally injured Seth Rollins when he launched him against the ring apron as they were battling it out at ringside. Brock Lesnar had assumed that the LED board on that side of the ring would prevent Seth Rollins from suffering an awkward landing. However, he was unaware that WWE had used a standard ring skirt instead.
Rollins recently rewatched the match as part of a WWE Playback video and reflected on how the incident led to him sustaining an elbow injury. He explained that Brock Lesnar had thrown him into the base of the ring.
Brock Lesnar believed that there was an LED board there to cushion his landing. Instead, Rollins collided with the metal frame underneath the ring, causing him significant discomfort and pain for months afterwards.
“When Brock [Lesnar] threw me into the ring [apron] there, there’s LED boards on all the rings now, and he thought there was an LED board there, so he thought it was gonna be hard, so he threw me into the base of the ring, but there’s nothing there,” Rollins said. “I just went into the metal underneath the ring – it’s just a metal frame – and my elbow was messed up for months after that.”

Seth Rollins defeated Brock Lesnar to capture the WWE Universal Championship. The match was supposed to go on second-to-last, but The Beast Incarnate changed up the order so he could leave early. This incident at WrestleMania 35 is just one example of Brock Lesnar doing what he wants, regardless of how it affects others or the show itself.
