Cody Rhodes Admits He Was Too Immature For AEW EVP Position

Cody Rhodes left AEW where he was an EVP of the company. Then he returned to WWE and took on the role as a talent once again. Although he might have been an executive in AEW, it is not that way at all in WWE.

While speaking to the Rick Eisen Show, Cody Rhodes denied having any power in WWE. He said there is “no pull” or “stroke” on his end. At the end of the day, his value is held in the performances he brings to the table.

“I come back to WWE, I got no power, I got no stroke,” he said. “I’m defined by my performance and my competition skills alone, and that’s a nice feeling.”

“I think the job I had at AEW, I might’ve been a little too young for. Definitely a little too immature for.”

“Still though, great memories. Loved every second of it. Wild ride. This is a fun week. One of the coolest things about WrestleMania, WrestleMania brings in the entire collective community of people who like anything that involves a ring.”

Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes could very well become the top act in WWE by the time the weekend is over. Only time will tell if he is able to take on that role, but at least he will only have to worry about performing in the ring now.
