The main event of WrestleMania weekend would feature Cody Rhodes looking to finish the story against Roman Reigns with the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the line.
Cody Rhodes came out first, to a phenomenal ovation from the crowd. Cody would present Brodie Lee Jr with his weight belt in a touching moment.
Roman Reigns would be played out by several piano players, being accompanied to the ring by Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman.
Early on Cody would be dominated by Roman, with the help of Solo Sikoa at ringside. Roman would work on Cody’s midsection mainly. Cody would begin his comeback after putting Reigns through the announce table and would even hit the Cody cutter for the near fall.
Solo would be thrown out after he used Cody’s weight belt against Cody. Roman took the weight belt himself and tried to use it but Cody hit a superkick and a Cross Rhodes for a near fall.
The match would be back and forth from there, with both hitting big moves for near falls. Eventually, the ref would be knocked down, with Roman and Cody cancelling each other out. The Usos would then attack, hitting a 1D on Cody. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn would run the Usos out, hitting a stunner and Helluva Kick on Reigns for a near fall.
However, it would not be enough from Cody, as he ate a Samoan Spike from Solo Sikoa before a spear from the champion would be enough for him to win the match.
