WWE Not Planning To Change PLE Model Despite Sale

WWE is all about doing what’s best for business, but that might not include their fans’ bank account. Endeavor bought WWE and is making plans to merge the company with UFC. Obviously, a lot of questions remain, but we now know that fans shouldn’t expect any sort of instant change to the pay-per-view model.

Fightful Select now reports that he has spoken with people on the pay-per-view side of things, and at this time they are not making any plans to change how those shows are made available for fans. That being said, anything is possible.

WWE sources were also adamant that they’re not planning on expanding PLE shows into an a la carte PPV situation again for the time being. They noted that anything is possible, but it would have to be a deal so huge that they couldn’t turn it down, and are cognizant of being shortsighted as it relates to the future of PLE/PPV and where it’s going.

A lot of fans were worried that Endeavor might switch WWE events to the ESPN+ platform, and requite an additional fee to order the shows. At this time, that doesn’t seem to be the plan.
