Recently, Endeavor purchased WWE and will be merging the company with the UFC for a 21 billion dollar juggernaut of a company.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that the first pitch to merge WWE and the UFC was made “three weeks ago” in New York. Then another meeting was held in “late March” at WWE’s headquarters in Stamford. The deal would then be announced after a highly successful WrestleMania 39 event.
The original proposal by Emanuel and Shapiro was made three weeks ago in a meeting with Vince McMahon and Nick Khan at the Raine Group offices in New York. They made a second pitch in late March at the WWE offices in Stamford, CT.

With the sale, McMahon has regained creative control of WWE. This has lead to a big drop in backstage morale in WWE. We will have to wait and see how SmackDown holds up tonight.
