Mick Foley is not happy about Rick Steiner’s transphobic rantings.
At WrestleCon during WrestleMania week, Rick Steiner subjected Gisele Shaw, a trans woman, to bigoted abuse while she attempted to walk past Steiner’s boot at the convention. Gisele would share the story after the incident and WrestleCon have since banned Steiner from future events.
Mick Foley, who was present at WrestleCon, was asked about the incident on Foley is Pod.
“I did hear about the issue…you talking about the Steiner thing? The saddest thing, this is not diminishing Rick Steiner going out of his way to make one of the other guests feel really bad, which is really unfortunate. There is still some backward thinking. Even if someone has an opinion, no need to hurt somebody like that. Completely unnecessary.“

Steiner has yet to comment on the incident, and is currently a part of a local school board near his home. We will have to wait and see what he has to say for himself after this incident.
