Nick Wayne’s AEW Debut Revealed
Nick Wayne is one of wrestling’s hottest prodigies and will be signed to AEW when he turns 18 years old. Now, we know he will face in his first match in the promotion.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez talked about Nick Wayne’s impending debut in AEW and how the debut is being set up. Wayne will go one on one with Swerve Strickland in July.
“So, tonight at DEFY, the main event was Swerve and Nick Wayne for the DEFY Title. Nick Wayne beat him and won the title. And afterward, Swerve cut a promo where he said that he had a time and place for his rematch, and it was going to be on Dynamite. The first show in July after Nick Wayne turns 18. Whichever day that is, Nick is going to debut on the first Dynamite after he turns 18 in a match with Swerve, apparently for the DEFY Title. So that’s the story there. It all happened tonight.”

We will have to wait and see if Wayne will be able to do the double over Swerve Strickland with the DEFY Championship on the line, should Wayne hold it that long. Time will tell how the 17 year old will do once he signs with AEW.
