Kenny Omega Has Yet To Sign A New AEW Deal, When Current Deal Is Up
Kenny Omega has yet to sign on the dotted line with regards to a new AEW deal.
Omega’s contract is set to expire at some point this year, but may have been extended due to his lengthy time on the shelf last year. WWE have been circling, and little is known on what Kenny will want to do next. While some have claimed he has signed a new deal with the company, that does not appear to be the case at this time.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer spoke about this situation with Kenny Omega. He stated that, while people believe that Omega has inked a new deal, that is not the case and his contract was likely extended due to his time away.
“Okay, the stuff with Kenny Omega. Konnan did an interview, and it got people thinking that Kenny Omega had signed a new contract. Kenny Omega is under contract with AEW. His contract was extended because he was out for, I think, nine months due to injuries. I believe that he is under contract until around November or December. There is no new deal that’s been signed.”

Currently, Omega is busy with a feud alongside The Young Bucks as they go up against the vicious Blackpool Combat Club. He would appear on this week’s Dynamite, chasing the BCC out of the arena.
