We previously reported that PWInsider had noted that Drew McIntyre was originally advertised for last week’s SmackDown, but it appears he was never scheduled for the event.
Ringside News reached out to find out if this was the case, but it turns out that Drew was never scheduled for Friday’s SmackDown.
Ringside News reached out to confirm the former WWE Champion’s status. We were told that Drew McIntyre was not scheduled to be at Smackdown this week.

McIntyre last competed at WrestleMania 39, eating the pin in a triple threat match for the Intercontinental Championship.
We will have to see what comes next for the Scottish Warrior, but his contract is not up until later this year, so this may in fact be a storyline, similar to how Bayley teased fans about possibly leaving WWE.
