Tony Ferguson Vs. Anthony Pettis Added To UFC 229
After days of rumors of their upcoming fight it is finally official, Tony Ferguson will face Anthony Pettis at UFC 229 in his return to the Octagon.
Ferguson hasn’t fought since October of 2017, but comes into his fight with Pettis riding a 10 fight win streak. Pettis last fought back at UFC 226 when he submitted Michael Chiesa in the second round with a triangle.
The fight between Anthony Pettis and Tony Ferguson will join a stacked card that features Conor McGregor vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov in the Main Event. At one point it was Ferguson who was scheduled to fight Khabib, but the fight had to be called off after Ferguson suffered a knee injury which ultimately resulted in him being stripped of his Lightweight Championship.
