WWE are circling talent that will become available at the end of this year when their AEW contracts expire at the end of this year.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer commented on the matter, mentioning that there are several contracts up and that WWE will pursue several of these talents should they become available.
“There are AEW contracts that are coming due at the end of the year. Several of them. Many of them, and WWE obviously will be pursuing all of them, or all the ones that are key ones that they could get.”

There has been previous issues with contract tampering between the two companies, while we have seen with Cody Rhodes how WWE intend to book incoming AEW talent. However, several talent may decide to re-sign with AEW as we head into 2023.
