WWE Protecting Sheamus To Avoid Potentially Worsening Possible Career Threatening Injury

On the latest installment of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed Sheamus’ medical issues and how he’s dealing with Spinal Stenosis. Meltzer mentioned that WWE has been protecting Sheamus in his matches as of late to help avoid further injury.

Meltzer noted that in the WWE Live Event matches Sheamus worked in Dubai, that he barely took any bumps, and was used in six man tag matches as well to help protect him.

“The are definitely protecting him right now.” says Meltzer.

As we earlier mentioned, Spinal Stenosis is the same injury that led to the end of the careers of WWE Superstars Steve Austin and Edge. Sheamus has been rehabbing the injury while continuing his WWE schedule. But it should be noted how serious of an injury this is, and that Sheamus’ WWE career could be in jeopardy.
