Carlito made a surprise appearance at Backlash last night, much to the delight of the Puerto Rican crowd.
He made his return to the company last night as part of the LWO, coming to the save of Bad Bunny and Rey Mysterio. He would help drive the Judgement Day back, ensuring Bad Bunny vs Damian Priest would remain a one on one contest.
Fightful Select provided some updates on Carlito’s appearance, including if there are more appearances to come for Carlito.
Another spot that WWE sources were very happy with was the return of Carlito. Several backstage spoke about how much Carlito had matured since his WWE run, and said that the reaction from the crowd was “even better than expected.” There have been numerous pitches over the last couple of years to bring Carlito in for runs or even full-time. Fightful has been told that as of this weekend, Carlito’s appearance with WWE was a one-off, but that could always change

After the reception he received at WWE Backlash, WWE may decide that the one time cameo could turn into one last run with the promotion for the apple spitting superstar.
