WWE wanted Brock Lesnar to get color in the main event, despite many fans believing that it was an unintentional part of the match up.
During the match, the turnbuckle became exposed, with Lesnar ending up going head first into it. This would open him up the hard way, with his head leaking blood. It wasn’t long before Brock’s face and Cody’s torso were covered in “The Beast’s” Blood.
Fightful Select now reports that this was always part of the plan for the Rhodes – Lesnar match.
The Cody Rhodes match with Brock Lesnar was faced with a lot of questions. We’re told that blood was planned for the match. WWE sources at least claimed that things went the way they were supposed to.

The match would end with Lesnar locking in the Kimura Lock, with Cody stacking Brock up for the resulting pinfall and the win.
We will have to wait and see if this rivalry will be over or we will see the two battle it out once again in the near future.
