WWE have announced the competitors of the WWE World heavyweight Championship tournament that will culminate later this month as WWE Night Of Champions.
The tournament will take place over two nights, as the first round of matches will take place on tonight’s RAW and the second round will take place on Friday’s SmackDown.
Fightful Select have provided an update on the world heavyweight title plans for tonight’s RAW, noting that WWE are planning to have a significant amount of their show centered around the championship.
We’re told that the World Heavyweight Title tournament was scheduled to take up a “significant” portion of WWE Raw as things stood on Sunday. They plan on having the title belt ringside presented as it has appeared on TV in recent weeks. Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, Shinsuke Nakamura, The Miz, Finn Balor and Damian Priest are planned for Monday’s tournament.

We will have to wait and see who will walk out of tonight’s RAW as the number 1 contender from the red brand but it is certainly going to be an exciting night.
