Kevin Gill Owed Money By GCW Since Summer 2022, Once Stopped A Talent Attack On Brett Lauderdale And More Notes
Kevin Gill has dropped a bombshell about his time in GCW and how he feels he was mistreated by the company and owner Brett Lauderdale.
Gill has recently moved on to Circle 6 wrestling, where he serves as a commentator. The former GCW commentator recently spoke to The Business of The Business and told all about his issues with Game Changer Wrestling and more. You can read the notes from the interview below.
-Currently associated with circle 6 wrestling out of LA, California, just passed their 1 yr anniversary.-First commentated early 2000s on a whim.
-Became a licensed promoter at one point to book events.
-Working with outlaw wrestling in Queens.
GCW NOTES
-Got with GCW through knowing Joey Janela at the first Spring Break; Brett Lauderdale let him pick what he wanted to call due to being the first who reached out to show interest.
-By the 3rd spring break show he was calling the whole thing, led to calling all of GCW and being regular commentator.
-Worked with Brett putting events and everything together with GCW.
UNRESOLVED ISSUES
-He’s owed money by GCW, back to summer/fall of 2022.
-Doesn’t feel valued, stopped getting booked for shows, once stopped a talent from physically attacking Brett Lauderdale, things seemed to turn when fans associated Kevin Gills voice and likeness with GCW, and he was slowly faded out of commentary.
-Using legal methods to recover money owed.
-One of his original pitches was continuity in commentary in terms of not always having the same people in place.
-Hammerstein show and big tub they were on died because of the booking- instead of being a new era for GCW it became something else. (Can’t Book JJ to do a job, tried to build up Allie Kat, Tony said Ruby wasn’t losing, show was way overbooked and not a regular GCW show.)
Kevin Gill Interview Notes
Gill has not commentated on a GCW show since September last year, last announcing at Effy’s Big Gay Brunch 5. We will have to see what the future holds for Kevin, but he has finally decided to take his issues into the public forum.
