WWE Planning On Holding WrestleMania 38 In Canada?
WWE officially announced yesterday that next year’s SummerSlam PPV will be held in Toronto. We have been reporting on this over the last couple months, as it was first reported by our friends over at Barn Burner.
It has also been reported that WWE has a plan in place that will see one of the company’s “Big Four” Pay-Per-Views in Toronto once every 3 years, starting last year with the 2017 Survivor Series, next year with the 2019 SummerSlam, and so on.
Last night I was a guest co-host on Barn Burner’s No Holds Barred Podcast, and this plan by WWE to hold a huge ppv in Toronto regularly was discussed. Joseph Peisich revealed during the segment that WWE is planning on holding WrestleMania 38 in Toronto in 2022.
Joseph also revealed that WWE is planning holding a SummerSlam Axxess event in Toronto next year as a was to feel out the market for brining WrestleMania back to the city in 2022.
You can listen to the entire episode of No Holds Barred featuring myself as a guest co-host below.
