Shawn Michaels Comments On Considering A Secondary Women’s Title In NXT
Shawn Michaels discusses the possibility of a secondary women’s championship being added to WWE NXT in the near future.
During the NXT Battleground media call earlier today, Michaels was asked about the possibility of a secondary women’s championship on the brand. HBK would respond that he has thought about it.
PW Insider reported several notes from the call, including HBK’s response to the question.
When asked about the possibility of a secondary women’s title, Michaels revealed that he has occasionally toyed with the idea but feels that they already provide the women with significant storylines. Their focus is on developing individual talents. With the loss of many veterans and leaders due to the Draft, the current NXT locker room is quite young. Although he would like to introduce a secondary title, Shawn wants to thoroughly vet the concept first. He is not yet comfortable with what it would entail and whether the young talents would be prepared for such a role. He is not ready to implement it at this time.

We will have to wait and see if Shawn decides to add the secondary women’s championship to NXT, but with the stacked roster they have, it would be unsurprising to see the idea become a reaility.
